Each comfortable bungalow was built using local wood and volcanic rock, to blend seamlessly into the natural beauty of the area.
A perfect night’s sleep awaits you as you fall asleep to the sounds of Lake Kivu floating into the shore. In the morning, you will be enchanted by the songs of the fishermen and birds.

Each dish in our restaurant is inspired by local ingredients and flavors. You will be delighted by our varied menu; each item is both unique and memorable.
The classic flavors of grilled tilapia and isambaza (small fried fish) are two of our most requested specialties.
Enjoy your meal as you sit beside Lake Kivu surrounded by fragrant flowers of every color. You may also choose to dine inside your bungalow, in a boat on Lake Kivu or on the nearby private island.
Excursions:
– Naturally occurring hot springs can be found five minutes from the Paradise Malahide site.
– The stunning Lake Kivu provides the perfect setting for fishing, swimming or boating. (A boat is available on site.)
– Volcanoes National Park and its incredible Mountain Gorillas can be found an easy one and a half hour drive from the site.
– A traditional dance troupe performs for guests on weekends or by special request. Their performances are highlighted by unique drumming sounds, stunning costumes and exciting choreography.

The island can be reached by boat in less than five minutes.
